Brickworkz LEGO mosaics : Clientz : Cool-de-Sac Cool-de-SacColor Correction
The challenge here is to take one of these logos into the most color-appropriate LEGO pattern possible. With such a limited LEGO palette, the best LEGO match is the dark red version, since LEGO's dark red is almost exactly the same as the Cool-de-sac logo's dark red. The light (lime) green does have a LEGO equivalent, but that color is all but extinct at this point, and there simply aren't enough available in the world to accomplish a mosaic full of them. The only alternative choice is the light blue, which might look similar. That color is a bit harder to find, and, as a result, a bit more expensive to obtain than the other colors. Using the dark red color as a model, this rough draft demonstrates what the piece would look like at 45" x 30." This picture is an example of what the LEGO mosaic would look like mounted on a dark-golden wall. The sharply-colored dark red and bright white LEGO colors will make the Cool De Sac logo really pop! This is the bigger version, 240 by 144 (about 6 feet long by 4 feet high) - with this larger size, we can capture more detail. Also, with not using 1 x 1 plates, we can get more colors in the LEGO palette. Right now, I'm trying to track down light blues in this quantity- once I find out how many are available online (they're somewhat rare) I can get a better estimate of how much it'll cost to produce. I'll be in touch very soon!
